Essential Information 

The trail starts and finishes at The Old Station, Tintern, (SO 536 006).

The route: An exhilarating circular walk on which you will discover tales about the Devil and his Pulpit, enjoy fantastic views of Tintern Abbey and walk on and along side the famous and impressive Offa’s Dyke.

This is a strenuous 5 mile (8 km) walk containing 4 stiles and a total climb of 600 ft (180 metres). Please wear suitable foot wear and take appropriate clothing for the weather.

Travelling by car: The Old Station at Tintern is on the A466 road between Monmouth and Chepstow 1 mile north of Tintern Abbey.

Travelling by bus: Bus number 69 passes the entrance.

Toilets: There are toilets at the Old Station, which are open seasonally (1st April to 31st October). There are toilets open throughout the year near the Abbey in Tintern village.
